The anonymous Instagram account-slash-meme-lord @socks_house_meeting (known for lol takedowns of London’s nu-hipster elite) describes “charming” Nunhead Lane as “a mish-mash of locals and new trendies with their Birkenstock Zoom call workspace ‘mate do you have laptop hours here bruh?’”. This leafy enclave counts the verdant expanses of Peckham Rye Common and Nunhead Cemetery as neighbours. It’s less overtly sceney than Dalston, Peckham et al, but you’ll spot i-D magazine staffers, the Goldsmiths crew and nearby residents such as Jessie Ware picking up groceries at the weekend.
