Huuuge Games has invested an undisclosed sum in fellow casino games maker Empire Games.

Through the investment, Huuuge Games now considers Empire one of its several “pod” studios – working externally but contributing to Huuuge’s organic growth efforts and expanding its “capabilities in developing new games.”

Huuuge currently has three games at various stages of development across its various teams and plans to roll out prototypes and early versions throughout the remainder of 2024.

Making contributions

According to Tracxn’s records, Empire Games was valued at $13.6 million in 2022 and has raised over $2.5 million across two funding rounds. Separate to those rounds, Huuuge has now given further investment to the studio, viewing Empire as a “strong team” with the potential to add to its games catalogue.

In the three years since Empire’s founding, the London-based studio has already released two games – Empire Bingo and Blocks Cash – which offer real cash winnings to victorious players.

“Recently, Huuuge invested in Empire Games, a small studio that will function as a new external team, contributing to our efforts toward organic growth,” said Huuuge Inc CEO Wojciech Wronowski during the company’s H1 2024 earnings call.

The investment was also highlighted in Huuuge’s latest financial earnings report: “We have invested in Empire Games, a strong team that we now consider a new external pod, further extending our capabilities in developing new games.”

How much Empire Games will contribute to Huuuge’s “promising” H2 remains to be seen.
