GMS shortlisted for trio of prestigious national business awards
Golf Marketing Services (GMS) is proud to announce its nomination for accolades at both the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards and Growing Business Awards 2024. These nominations highlight GMS’s exceptional growth and impactful contributions to its clients and the wider golf industry in 2023-24.
The Growing Business Awards, now in their 27th year, are renowned as the most credible and highly valued recognition of exceptional growing businesses in the UK. GMS has been shortlisted as one of six finalists in the “B2B Business of the Year – Small” and one of 10 in the “Growing Business of the Year – Turnover £2.5m – £10m.” Previous winners include Ella’s Kitchen, Fever-Tree, Moneysupermarket.com, Ovo Energy, Zoopla Property Group, and many more.
GMS has also been confirmed as one of 12 finalists in “The Micro Business of the Year” category in the coveted Lloyds Bank British Excellence awards, beating off stiff competition from an unprecedented number of entrants.
“We are honoured to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards, especially as they are as much about delivery for clients and their testimony as they are about commercial results” commented Sam Elder, Co-CEO of Golf Marketing Services. “These nominations reflect our team’s dedication, innovation, and hard work in providing top-tier marketing solutions that drive success for our clients in the golf industry. We look forward to the opportunity to share our story and successes with the esteemed panels of judges.”
“This is a proud moment for our whole team,” added Co-CEO Phil Craghill. “These acknowledgments are testament to the delivery-focussed culture that we harvest and the skill level and commitment that everyone in our growing global team showcases.”
The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards is the UK’s largest and most prestigious business awards programme – celebrating the cream of the crop across all industries, and championing sustainability, diversity, equality and those that have transcended expectations and limitations throughout the year. The awards will be presented during a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, on November 12.
The Growing Business Awards, co-sponsored by Santander and Bridges Fund Management, has been bringing together and honouring some of the UK’s most outstanding entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses since their inauguration in 1998. Leading figures from the UK SME will come together to decide the winners of each category, before finalists attend the award ceremony at London Hilton Bankside on November 26.
The news follows a record year for GMS, cemented by a 22-place increase in select PR Week Top 150 agency rankings released in May. The business is on track for another record year of growth in 2024 as and is set to establish further international offices in 2025.
