British Airways cuts cost of winter holidays from city breaks to USA adventures

With gloomier weather drawing in and colder temperatures on the horizon, you may be inspired to book yourself a nice, tropical getaway to take you far from the wind and the rain and into the sunshine. And if you’re after a bit of a bargain on your next trip, you’re in luck as British Airways has just launched its End of Summer September sale.

With these deals applying to holidays both in 2024 and 2025, it’s a great excuse to escape the doom and gloom of the UK – whilst saving a bit of money. For example, the iconic airline is offering customers an additional saving of up to £300 on selected holidays.

Those looking to book a flight and hotel or flight and car between September 5 – 10 can save £300 on a minimum spend holiday of £10,000 per booking (including flights and hotel). For those spending £5,000, there will be a £200 discount. And it follows suit the cheaper it gets – for any holidays costing £2,500 (per booking), you’ll have a discount of £100, bookings worth £1250 will have a £50 discount and bookings costing £625 will get an extra saving of £25.

And the destinations aren’t limited with holidays to Europe, USA, the Caribbean and more on offer. Take a look at your options here.

But that’s not all. Until October 1, frequent flyers and holiday makers can secure their next adventure – be it summer or winter 2025 – for less with some of the brand’s package holiday offers. For example, British Airways Holidays offers three nights, at the 4* Hotel Indigo NYC Downton – Wall Street from £519pp. The catch is that this offering is only valid for those travelling on selected dates between 6 January – 6 February 2025 inclusive. This deal does, however, include economy return flights from London Heathrow Airport, 1 checked bag at 23kg per person and accommodation. But you must book by 1 October 2024.

If you fancy a business class trip, the brand is running a deal on holidays between July 3 and August 3 2025 with return flights from London Heathrow, two checked 23kg bags and four nights at the 4* Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square.

Looking for a city break? Between 1 November – 30 November 2024 inclusive, you can head to Prague for £149pp, staying at the 4* Grand Majestic Plaza (with breakfast), with economy return flights and 1 checked 23kg bag per person.

These holiday packages can be bookable for a minimum of £60 deposit per person, although deposit amounts vary on the value of the package holiday. What’s more is if you are an BA Member and have Avios points, you can use them to pay for part of the total price of selected holidays (Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car) when making a non-redemption booking on ba.com for travel.

If you’re fancying something further affield and a smidge more tropical, British Airways’ sale has trips to Dubai and the Dominican Republic for £949pp as well as Maldives holidays from £1469pp – this includes seven nights on a half board basis between March 1 and March 31 and economy return flights to London Gatwick Airport. As we bid farewell to summer, British Airways isn’t the only airline and travel site to give us some serious holiday deals as Jet2 has also got a number of holiday deals on, helping you save and soak up the sun. Take a look here. TUI has also launched a series of September deals that are perfect for adults looking for a child-free vacation in the sun, here.
