Big Samsung watch deal

Best Buy offers the 40mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 for $169, a sizable discount off the regular price. This is a great one to consider if you want a comfortable watch with many features.

Our Galaxy Watch 6 review called it the “most advanced Samsung smartwatch yet.” Sure, it’s since been passed by the Galaxy Watch 7, but that doesn’t make the excellent features offered by this watch any less impressive.

I’m a big fan of the Apple Watch Sport Loop and much prefer it to the brand’s rubbery Sport Band. The former uses velcro to secure the strap, rather than the more barbaric pin-and-hole system found on the latter. This allows for greater comfort. It’s also stretchy, sweat-wicking and looks darn fly in Elderberry. Choose from either 41mm or 45mm.

Garmin Instinct 2 solar resting on a rock ledge.

The Garmin Instinct 2 Solar is the longest-lasting smartwatch in the known universe. What’s its battery life, you ask? How does infinity sound? That’s right. Thanks to its solar-powered capabilities, given enough sunlight, you never need to charge the device.

Of course, if you’re spending a lot of time using the built-in GPS for location tracking, you’ll likely need to seek out a wall socket sooner or later. The Instinct 2 Solar additionally boasts a sporty and comfortable design, loads of tracking metrics and training insights, and even supports Garmin Pay. Best of all, the best Garmin watch for battery life is an impressive 25% off through Garmin directly ahead of Black Friday.

We’re starting to see a lot of Black Friday Garmin deals spring up, with some moderate savings alongside some absolutely huge ones, like the Garmin Fenix 7 Pro which is down to $649 at Amazon, slashing $250 off the regular price.

It’s one of Garmin’s top-of-the-range devices and so has almost every feature available on a Garmin watch. Plus, you get solar charging capabilities too and a titanium bezel that’s lighter and more durable than the standard edition’s steel bezel.

There’s some good news for our British readers: we’re now tracking the best Black Friday smartwatch deals in the U.K. too! The discounts are popping up at the retailers you’d expect, like Amazon, John Lewis, Currys and Argos, with similar (but not the same) savings on flagship models we’ve seen in the States. These are some of our recommended picks so far:

Fitbit Sense 2 stress management check inTom's Guide Black Friday Price Drop deal badge

Although we now rate the Google Pixel Watch 3 as the best Fitbit smartwatch for most people, the Fitbit Sense 2 is also still a great option, especially now that it’s down to just $220 right now at Walmart.

The Sense 2 is the most advanced Fitbit-branded smartwatch in the range, with more of a health-focused approach that actually puts it in competition with the Apple Watch. There’s a built-in ECG, stress monitoring tools, and a blood oxygen monitor (a feature currently unavailable on the Apple Watch due to an ongoing patent dispute).

It’s this more holistic approach to health and fitness, alongside Fitbit’s usual fitness, step, and sleep monitoring tools, that means we also ranked the watch among the best smartwatches for women, as the data sits alongside Fitbit’s menstrual health tracking feature.

Polar V3 on a user's wrist showing its navigational map mode

The Polar Vantage V3 is a premium smartwatch built with outdoor adventurers in mind and on par with the Garmin Fenix 8 series. My favorite smartwatch to wear while snowboarding for its detailed post-shred report and maps, the V3 rarely sees many discounts, but right now, you can score one for $120 off via Polar directly.

Well-built and reasonably lightweight despite its large-ish 47mm case size, the Polar V3 supports over 150 exercise types and boasts impressive rest and recovery insights, rock-solid GPS accuracy, multi-day battery life and a bright, easy-to-read touchscreen display. Plus, you can download and save offline maps for navigating outside of cellular coverage.

Garmin Forerunner 255 Music on a user's wrist

The Garmin Forerunner 255 Music is a prime candidate for major Black Friday discounts. One generation out from the current Garmin Forerunner 265 — the best Garmin watch for runners in 2024 — the 255 is still a modern workout-tracking wearable that’s plenty capable.

As the name suggests, this model comes with onboard storage, letting you download and save music to your watch for enjoyment while running or working out sans smartphone. It also boasts nearly all the same training tools and wellness insights that you’ll find on the 265, along with great battery life and exceptionally accurate GPS.

Really, the only thing it misses out on compared to its newer sibling is an updated AMOLED screen. If you can get past that, the Garmin Forerunner 255 Music for $298 is a fantastic bargain. Here’s a closer look at how the Forerunner 265 vs Forerunner 255 stack up.

CLose up of a Garmin Vivoactive 5 on a user's wrist

If you’re on the hunt for a more budget-friendly Garmin watch, there are plenty of Garmin Black Friday deals around at the moment, but one of my favorites is this $50 discount on the Garmin Vivoactive 5.

It’s a sports-focused smartwatch, and while it can’t compete on features against the Apple Watch or Google Pixel Watch, while testing it for our Garmin Vivoactive 5 review, we found that it was generally more reliable for fitness and activity tracking.

Even at the regular price it’s cheaper than most flagship devices from the Big Tech brands, and right now, the Garmin Vivoactive 5 is down to $249 at Amazon. This isn’t the cheapest we’ve ever seen it (it dropped $10 lower during July’s Amazon Prime Day) but this $50 discount is larger than it usually drops during the sales.

Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch on a user's wrist

Our Fitness Editor, James Frew, has been recently been testing the Amazfit T-Rex 3 outdoor watch, even taking it on a hiking vacation to see how it fared. Although it performed well in most areas, including GPS accuracy, heart rate monitoring, and activity recording, there was one feature that really blew him away; battery life.

According to James, “the T-Rex 3’s battery life is easily it’s most impressive feature. The watch can last almost a month between charges, really highlighting how lacklustre the Apple Watch’s single-day performance really is. Plus, I really liked the meditation and guided breathing apps you can install to bring a bit of calm to your day.”

It launched in September 2024 and retailed for $279, making it a great value choice for tracking outdoor walks and hikes. But, right now, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 is down to just $234 at Amazon, taking $45 off the price. Amazon has it flagged as a ‘limited time’ deal, so if you’re interested, don’t hang about, as these discounts sometimes only last a few hours.

Amazfit Bip 5 smartwatch on a user's wrist

The Amazfit Bip 5 is a lot of smartwatch for the money. As noted in our Bip 5 review, it features a ‘gorgeous display with bright colors and a responsive touchscreen, 120 exercise types, great GPS and speed tracking, and passable sleep tracking.’ Normally priced at/around $89, it’s the best smartwatch under $100 in 2024.

But, you don’t have to pay $89, at least, not today. Amazon has the Bip 5 on sale for just $69. That puts it at about the same cost as the Fitbit Inspire 3. However, the Amazfit boasts greater screen real estate and an onboard GPS.
