Best Prime Day deals UK 2024 – live offers on Fire TV, Ninja and Shark
AMAZON’S Prime Day sale has kicked off!
For 48 hours, Prime subscribers can get their hands on thousands of exclusive deals – read on for our pick of the best early deals.
Prime Day deals
Amazon now plays host to two Prime Day sales each year.
Prime Big Deal Days kicked off today and wraps up at midnight on Wednesday (9th October).
During that time, any shopper with a Prime membership will have access to thousands of exclusive offers.
We’ve already seen plenty of early-bird Amazon device deals, with price drops across Echo speakers, Fire TVs, Ring doorbells, Fire TV Sticks and other gadgets.
There’s huge 47% drop on the 43-inch 4-Series Fire TV, and the entry-level Fire TV streaming stick has been reduced from £44.99 to £16.99.
Amazon also launched some superb promotions on its subscription services. Prime members can pick up 4 months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free.
Avid book-readers, meanwhile, can pick up 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for just £7.99.
These are just the initial wave of bargains, though. Soon you’ll find everything from beauty and fashion to home and garden on sale.
But to take advantage of all the incredible deals, you will need a Prime subscription.
If you’ve never been a member but want immediate access to the sale, there is a 30-day free trial available.
Follow our Prime Day live blog for all the latest updates, hottest deals and deepest discounts.

Here’s our pick of the five best deals live on the Amazon site.
1. Amazon 43-inch 4-Series Fire TV, £229.99 (was £429.99)
Some of the best Prime Day deals are on Amazon’s own smart devices. For Prime Big Deals Day, it seems to be all about televisions.
The 43-inch set from Amazon’s range of 4-Series TVs has been given an almighty discount of 47%. It’s an impressive enough deal to persuade tech writer Tom Tyers to ditch his old TV.
It’s clearly popular with shoppers: Amazon has marked stock as limited, with one sale limited to each customer. Hurry!

2. Apple AirPods Pro, £179 (was £229)
This is the second time we’ve seen Apple’s iconic, noise-cancelling earbuds drop to a sale price of £179.
There’s nothing better than watching high-end Apple tech drop in price. These slick, impeccably crafted beauties first hit the market at £249.
It’s not impossible they’ll fall further in price during Black Friday in November, but it seems unlikely.

6. Google Pixel 8a, £399 (was £499)
There’s a wide range of SIM-free smartphones with discounted prices in the Prime Day sales, from the likes of Samsung, Google, Honor, Xiaomi and Sony.
But it’s the budget handset in Google’s Pixel 8 range that we’re happiest to see on sale for £100 less.
It might be smaller and lacking the camera specs of the standard Pixel 8 – but it’s still an exceptional piece of tech that Senior Tech Reporter Jamie Harris calls Google’s best budget phone.

Do Prime Day deals change daily?
Prime Day discounts are a mix of different types of deals.
Some offers are live for the duration of the sale, often Amazon device deals fall into this category.
Then there are deals of the day which only stick around for a 24-hour window, or possibly less if stock sells out.
Lastly, there are very limited-time “lightning deals” that have limited stock available and, once sold out, disappear.
More recently, Amazon has offered exclusive early Prime deals ahead of the official event to entice shoppers too.
How long will Prime Day 2024 deals last?
Prime Day deals last for a maximum of 48 hours.
But most discounts featured in the event will stick around for a much shorter period, with some selling out in just a few hours.
The more popular an item is, the quicker it is set to fly off the shelves.
If you do have your eye on a coveted product it is best to snap it up when you see it rather than wait.
Does Amazon have Prime Day deals on everything?
You can pretty much guarantee that whatever category you are shopping for during Prime Day will have some discounts available.
Major categories like technology, home and garden, beauty, fashion, toys and household goods always feature heavily in the Prime Day offers.
There are normally a variety of well-known brands included across product categories, as well as lesser-known options and Amazon’s own brands.
