It’s been a perfect Saturday for Leicester City as they returned to the top of the Championship with victory over Birmingham and defeats for fellow promotion chasers Ipswich and Leeds.

Down at the bottom of the table Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield grabbed vital wins to drag a few teams back into trouble.

In League One, Portsmouth moved a step closer to promotion and Carlisle were relegated after a 2-0 loss at Northampton.

League Two leaders Stockport beat Sutton 3-1 and three wins from their final five matches will guarantee them promotion.
