The travel experts looked at the most searched-for cities on its holiday booking platform and a bargain destination came out on top.
Istanbul was this year’s most popular last-minute city break destination. The Turkish city is fantastic value with great prices for Britons.

Visit the city’s Blue Mosque for a stunning example of Ottoman-era architecture or head to the Grand Bazaar to shop for every type of souvenir.
Turkish cuisine is world-famous so make sure to indulge in one of the country’s lavish breakfasts with everything from cheese to bread and yoghurt.
Britons could also use Istanbul as a starting point to explore the rest of Turkey and head to Ephesus for history or one of the country’s beach resorts.
