Lucky Scots dad pockets huge sum after scooping record online casino jackpot
A LUCKY Scots dad has landed £640,000 after winning a huge online jackpot.
The man, known only as Mr L, scooped the lofty sum while playing Lottoland’s Zeus Lightning Power Reels.
The 64-year-old has won the firm’s largest-ever casino prize.
Mr L, who lives in Gozo, Malta, was blown away after finding out he had sealed the lucrative jackpot.
He said: “I was extremely surprised. One minute I am playing the slot and all of a sudden you get the jackpot wheel and it stops on the Jumbo Jackpot – and for a second I thought, ‘Oh, that just can’t be true’.”
He has been playing Lottoland for more than four years.
Mr L initially opened his account to participate in international lotteries.
He relocated from Scotland to Malta after visiting Gozo with his late wife during a holiday.
After falling in love with the sun-soaked island, they decided to stay.
Mr L now plans to use his winnings to buy a new property for himself.
He also plans on treating his son to ensure his family benefits from the windfall.
Mr L is Lottoland’s second Scottish jackpot winner in recent years.
In 2021, one lucky chef won £1m on a ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ scratchcard.
Lottoland’s Group CEO, Nigel Birrell, said: “We are absolutely delighted for Mr L and proud to have facilitated this monumental win.
“This unprecedented victory highlights Lottoland’s commitment to providing exceptional opportunities and experiences for its players.”
