Pembrokeshire town named the UK’s best entertainment holiday spot

Tenby has been crowned the UK’s most entertaining holiday destination, with the harbour town scoring 7.71 out of 10.

Cornwall’s St Ives and Dorset’s Lyme Regis followed closely behind in the rankings with scores of 7.29 and 7.24 respectively.

The research conducted by OLBG looked into various factors to determine the most and least entertaining holiday spots in the UK.

The study considered aspects such as the number of pubs with live music, the availability of zoos, aquariums, and arcades, as well as the average cost of accommodation.

Tenby, famed for its picturesque beaches, including the award-winning Castle Beach, boasts a lively nightlife, with 6.4 pubs per 1,000 people, 2.4 of which feature live music.

The town’s charm and entertainment options have earned it the top spot in the UK’s most entertaining holiday destinations list.

On the other end of the spectrum, South Ayrshire’s Troon was named the least entertaining holiday destination, with a score of 1.38 out of 10.

According to the research, Troon has minimal family amusements and only 1.3 pubs per 1,000 people, a stark contrast to Tenby’s vibrant offerings.

The research also highlighted Hunstanton in West Norfolk as having the most amusement arcades, with 1.4 per 1,000 people.

Southwold had the highest ratio of pubs, with 11.6 per 1,000 people, while Great Yarmouth topped the list for the most arcades, with 16.
