‘Pinch me!’ Joe Wicks reveals to appear on popular TV show
Joe Wicks has achieved some seriously impressive career moments in recent years, but this one may take the cake (or piece of fruit, in his case!)
The fitness guru is well-versed in the TV sphere, regularly making appearances on chat shows such as This Morning and Good Morning Britain, but the star is ‘well out of his comfort zone’ this time.
Joe announced the exciting news that he is set to guest star as a dragon on BBC’s hit show Dragons’ Den. He’ll appear on Thursday’s episode of the programme.
The dad-of-four explained that while filming the show was daunting, it was a ‘proper pinch-me moment’. He explained that he has ‘never seen’ himself ‘as an entrepreneur’ and ‘would never have pursued something like this’.
Someone from Dragons’ Den reached out to Joe asking him to do a screen test for the show, which resulted in him traveling to Manchester to film the episode.
Joe posted a snap looking very serious alongside the other Dragons. ‘At 8pm tonight on @bbcone I am a guest dragon on Dragons Den,’ he wrote.
‘This is a proper pinch me moment because I’ve never seen myself as an entrepreneur and would never have pursued something like this myself but they reached out and asked me to come and do a screen test.’
‘I thought I’d go along for the experience. Turns out they thought I’d make a good guest dragon so next thing I was up in Manchester filming with the dragons.’
‘It was a really great experience filming the show. I was well nervous and definitely felt well out of my comfort zone but I learned a lot and i’m so glad I gave it a go. I hope you get to tune in tonight or catch it on BBC iPlayer.’
Joe left fans on a cliffhanger, writing: ‘The question is… Do you think I invested?’
Fans were quick to congratulate Joe on his latest venture. ‘Cheering you on from home!!’ one person wrote, while another said: ‘Look at you being all serious. Will definitely watch it! well done!’
We are sure Joe’s wife Rosie, and their four kids will be tuning in to support him.
