The UK’s most overcrowded tourist destination named

Visited an overcrowded tourist destination recently? Many of the world’s hotspots including Barcelona and Amsterdam are struggling to deal with overtourism. 

But it’s not just Europe that’s feeling the effects of overcrowding. The UK can also get pretty busy during the summer months. 

Travel expert Simon Calder even recently advised tourists to travel beyond the Lake District due to crowds. But where are the UK’s most crowded destinations? 

A study from the team at heydiscount found the UK staycation destinations that are most impacted by tourism. They looked at the number of holiday rentals, average house prices and the number of tourists.
