UK’s best beaches with warm weather and white sand named

For many Brits, the allure of our own beautiful beaches is enough to keep them from jetting off abroad.

Some of the most stunning beaches that could easily be mistaken for European hotspots are right here on our doorstep.

According to research by Parkdean Resorts, the UK boasts some of the whitest sands and warmest weather, allowing holidaymakers to save their pennies and enjoy a European-style getaway without leaving the country.

Cornwall’s Kynance Cove tops the list for the whitest sand. Remarkably, the sand at Kynance Cove is an exact match in tone to that of Hyams Beach, located thousands of miles away on the Australian coast – offering all the tropical beauty without the lengthy flight.

This breathtaking beach is renowned for its turquoise waters and pale sands, as well as the unique rock formations that enclose the small cove.

Situated near Lizard Point in St Ives, the cove can be reached by bus, car or foot – though its popularity during the summer months means early arrival is recommended to secure parking.

At low tide, visitors can explore tide pools and caves, or take a dip in the crystal clear waters. However, due to the absence of lifeguards and potential for strong currents, it’s advised to swim with a partner, reports the Mirror.

Appletree Bay in the Isles of Sicily came second for the whitest sand, followed by St Ives, meaning Cornwall has claimed the top three spots for the whitest sands in the UK.

If Cornwall doesn’t tickle your fancy, Dorset’s Studland Bay and Bournemouth Beach have also made the top five UK beach destinations.

However, to ensure you get the most out of your seaside escape, it’s crucial to plan around the weather. There’s nothing worse than planning a sun-soaked holiday only for the weather to let you down.

To help with this, Parkdean Resorts has analysed weather data from the past five years to determine when you’re most likely to catch some rays.

The best time to book for guaranteed heat is between July 17 and 19, with temperatures expected to reach a balmy 28C. However, August 7 to 13 is also a safe bet, with predicted temperatures just slightly cooler at 27.2C.
